Overall good hygiene can prevent Candida. For example, when going to the bathroom it is recommended that wiping from front to back to prevent bacteria from entering the vagina. So too, using regular toilet paper as opposed to scented paper is also advised.
Candida can also be caused by vaginal douching. It is now known that douches can offset the bacteria present in the vagina and can lead to yeast infections.
Finally, whether you work out in a gym or Exercise at home it is important to change clothing as soon as your routine is completed. Wearing clothing that is damp from sweat can also contribute to Candidiasis.
The bottom line is that while every woman has a bit of Candida in their vagina, which is actually a good thing, the problem occurs when the body’s immune system becomes off-balance and the fungus that is associated with Candida amplifies.
