Depending upon the type of infection you have, the symptoms of Candida can vary.

Vaginal Yeast Infection. With this type of Candida, the symptoms may include itching, thick white discharge, swelling of the vagina, redness, pain when urinating as well as pain during intercourse.

Thrush. This type of Candida is called oral candidiasis and the symptoms include white patches on the Tongue or other areas in the mouth. One may also experience bleeding, and this type of Candida is not only painful but can cause dehydration due to the inability to consume food.

Cutaneous Candidiasis. The symptoms of this condition include red, moist patches which may appear under the breasts or skin folds.

Diaper Rash. Among babies and small children, the symptoms of Candida can include fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, as well as the spreading of the rash itself.

Esophagitis. Attributed to victims of AIDS, this condition affects the esophagus and results in difficulty swallowing. The symptoms of this condition can spread to the digestive tract and form ulcers as well.

Deep Candidiasis. This is the most serious of all Candida conditions and its symptoms are widespread due to the fact that the bloodstream becomes infected and can spread to other vital organs.
Weak Immune System. Candida symptoms incurred due to a weak immune system can include fever, chills, vomiting, general illness, and a rash that does not seem to dissipate over time.
Among the many symptoms of Candida, here are additional signs indicating you may have this condition:

Are you experiencing severe itching on specific areas of your skin?
Are you prone to contract urinary tract infections?
Do you have considerable pain during menstruation?
Are you suffering from pain in the abdominal area?
Are you plagued by constipation or diarrhea?
Are you fatigued or suffer from mood swings?
Do you have any pain in your muscles?
Have you noticed skin irritation under your breasts?
Do you have a fever?
Do you have an inordinate amount of bloating or gas?

If you are experiencing any of the symptoms indicated herein and treatment is not effective, it is strongly recommended that you visit your doctor who can determine the proper course of treatment. For infants and small children, there are over-the-counter creams which can be used to clear the condition effectively. Except for the most serious infections noted above, yeast infections and diaper rash usually clears up within one to two weeks.
