Homeopathic Vaccines

There are alternate views on the subject of homeopathic vaccines that makes it even more difficult to answer the question before us.

Homeopathic medicine is based on a fundamental tenet, that is, “like cures like.” In other words, homeopathic doctors treat a certain disease with “nosodes,” or vaccinations which correspond to that particular disease.

This problem is two-fold: First, there have not been enough clinical data to ascertain whether the vaccinations work; and second, the drugs administered are so weakened in potency that there is only a trace amount left which, according to studies, reduces the effectiveness of the drug.

However, it must also be stated that homeopathic doctors believe that the dilution of these drugs with water produces an effective on the water itself, and it is this remedy that can act as preventative measures in curing a specific disease.

In fact, homeopathic doctors believe that nosodes are less damaging than traditional vaccines. Thus, homeopathic vaccines seem to be effective because they are less toxic than traditional vaccines and are administered under the guidelines of “like cures like” in a much milder form. But do they have a curative effect?

Over the past century, most homeopathic doctors would prescribe a preventative medicine to thwart off diseases. They may administer drugs more frequently to build up the immune system which would prevent serious diseases from occurring, without the side effects and complications that usually arise with traditional vaccines.

The fact that homeopathic vaccinations do not produce antibodies, suggests that the repeated use of these vaccinations is required throughout one’s lifespan and is a viable alternative to the more traditional one-time vaccinations currently being administered to maintain immunity against disease. However, there is no data to back up the efficacy of repetitive use and therefore, to suggest that this is a reliable method of immunization is a false one.

Ultimately, it is up to the parents to decide whether or not they prefer traditional vaccinations or alternative vaccinations offered by homeopathic doctors. The danger lies in doing nothing.

So too, it is the responsibility of the homeopathic doctor to give the parents of a sick child all of the facts associated with a specific vaccination so they can make a judgment as to whether or not the to choose conventional or homeopathic vaccines.

As mentioned earlier, the use of homeopathic remedies are safe because they are completely diluted. But safe doesn’t always mean curative. Most homeopathic medicines lack ingredients and there is no indication on any of the packaging what one specific remedy may contain. This is done to ensure there will be no medical claims if something goes array.

Therefore, if someone is ill and chooses homeopathic remedies, they are running the risk of putting themselves in danger because the remedy is not strong enough to cure the illness. Again, the vaccines are diluted to the point that they have no efficacy whatsoever.

So to answer the original question: Are there really homeopathic vaccines and do they work? The answer is an unqualified no.
