The basic principle of homeopathy was established by Samuel Hahnemann and is explained in this way. “From the Latin Similia Similibus Curentur, it means ‘Let likes cure likes.’ This principle utilized for over two centuries.”
Here is an example of homeopathy or similia similibus curentur. Let’s say you have developed an infection and you have been advised to take an antibiotic to get rid of the infection. Once taken, you suddenly develop a reaction to the medication. You call your doctor and research it online. You write down what it contains so you can discuss it with your doctor.
At about the same time, let’s say your spouse has contracted the flu. The ingredients in the medication you took for the infection will cure your spouse of the flu, provided it is prepared by a homeopathic professional and given in a small dose. This is the Law of Similars or, as Mr. Hahnemann put it, “let likes cure likes.”
When you think about it, it makes sense. If you take a few moments to peruse the homeopathic remedies online, you will notice that most all of these remedies are used for insect bites, colds, bleeding, infection, toothaches, vision problems, and irritability which can save you a small fortune on traditional medications.
Our grandparents used homeopathic remedies all the time and we were cured of most ailments. The key to using homeopathic remedies is in direct contrast to traditional medicines. For example, if you are ill and your doctor prescribes a medication, he always tells you to finish it. With homeopathic remedies, once you do feel better you can immediately stop taking the remedy.
