If you are at work, take 5 minutes and find a quiet place where you can begin a deep-breathing exercise. Close your eyes and breathe in and out slowly. In no time, the stress will be gone and your blood pressure will return to a normal level.
The same holds true if you work at home. Find a quiet room and just sit down for 5-10 minutes and breathe in and out slowly and deeply. Another tried and true method is to stand in front of a window, legs bent, with arms at your side. Bring your arms up slowly in the form of a circle and bring them into the middle of your body. This is a form of yoga called Qi Gong. It not only relaxes, but will bring your blood pressure down to a normal level.
It doesn’t matter where you are, you can practice deep breathing meditation at the mall, at school, at home, at work, or whenever you feel you are about to explode due to stress and pressure.
